Welcome to Cape Town, spectacularly positioned between mountains and ocean. On arrival, your included transfer takes you from the airport to your hotel for a two-night stay.
The remainder of the day is yours to relax after your flight or begin exploring the city at your own pace.

Day 3 | Thursday 22 October | Cape Town at Leisure
Enjoy a full day to discover Cape Town independently. Perhaps explore the lively V&A Waterfront, take the cable car up Table Mountain for sweeping coastal views, or venture further afield to the Cape Winelands.
Alternatively, spend a leisurely day enjoying the city’s cafés, shops and restaurants before your expedition begins.

Day 4 | Friday 23 October | Embark SH Diana
Your included transfer takes you from your hotel to the cruise terminal to board SH Diana.
Settle into your stateroom, explore the ship and meet the expedition team who will bring the wildlife, history and landscapes of this remarkable voyage to life. Depart Cape Town and begin your crossing of the South Atlantic.

Days 5–8 | Saturday 24–Tuesday 27 October | At Sea
Ease into life onboard as you sail towards the remote islands of the South Atlantic. Watch for seabirds gliding in the ship’s wake and scan the horizon for whales from the observation decks.
Join the expedition team’s talks to learn about the destinations ahead, or enjoy the ship’s sauna, gym and hot tub. These sea days offer time to unwind, meet fellow travellers and prepare for your first expedition stop.

Day 9 | Wednesday 28 October | Tristan da Cunha
Discover the extraordinary isolation of Tristan da Cunha, a remote island community surrounded by the vast South Atlantic.
Its rugged shores and cliffs support remarkable birdlife, including albatrosses, petrels and northern rockhopper penguins. Look for seals along the coastline and whales or dolphins in the surrounding waters as the expedition team introduces this rarely visited destination.
Landing opportunities are subject to local and sea conditions.

Days 10–13 | Thursday 29 October–Sunday 1 November | At Sea
Continue across the South Atlantic towards South Georgia. Spend time on deck watching the changing ocean and seabirds, with the expedition team helping you identify wildlife along the way.
Onboard presentations provide insight into the region’s ecology and exploration history. Between talks, relax with a book, enjoy the ship’s facilities or practise your photography.

Days 14–15 | Monday 2–Tuesday 3 November | South Georgia
Experience one of the world’s great wildlife destinations. South Georgia’s dramatic mountains and shores provide a backdrop to vast penguin colonies, elephant seals and abundant seabirds.
Explore by Zodiac and on scheduled shore landings as conditions allow. Possible sites include Grytviken, the former whaling station where explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton is buried. Your expedition team will select suitable locations to make the most of the wildlife and conditions.

Days 16–17 | Wednesday 4–Thursday 5 November | At Sea
Sail towards Antarctica as anticipation builds for your first glimpse of the White Continent.
Learn more about Antarctic wildlife, science and polar exploration through onboard talks and briefings. Spend time on the observation decks watching the Southern Ocean, or enjoy a quiet moment indoors as the ship continues south.

Days 18–21 | Friday 6–Monday 9 November | Antarctic Peninsula
Spend four extraordinary days exploring the Antarctic Peninsula, a wilderness of towering glaciers, sculpted icebergs and snow-covered islands.
Your expedition team plans each day around weather, ice and wildlife conditions. Zodiac cruises and shore landings offer opportunities to discover sheltered bays, penguin colonies and seals resting along the shore or on the ice.
Possible locations include the spectacular Lemaire Channel and Mikkelsen Harbour, although the route remains flexible. Between excursions, return to the comfort of SH Diana to share your experiences and deepen your understanding of this remarkable environment.

Begin your journey towards Ushuaia, with time to reflect on your Antarctic adventure.
Enjoy final presentations from the expedition team, review your photographs and exchange favourite moments with fellow travellers. Keep watch from the observation decks as the voyage approaches the southern tip of South America.

Day 24 | Thursday 12 November | Ushuaia to Buenos Aires
Arrive in Ushuaia, framed by the mountains of Tierra del Fuego and the waters of the Beagle Channel.
Disembark SH Diana and take your included transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. On arrival, transfer to your hotel for a three-night stay in Argentina’s vibrant capital.

Day 25 | Friday 13 November | Buenos Aires at Leisure
Enjoy a full day to explore Buenos Aires at your own pace. Discover grand boulevards, leafy plazas and distinctive neighbourhoods, pausing for coffee or a leisurely lunch.
